CARNIVAL NATIONZ BAND LAUNCH - 2012

Carnival Nationz band launch was amazing, the showcase started late but it was well worth the wait. Twelve sections was unveiled last night. The colors, feathers and the bling was outstanding. The crowd had smiles on their faces but also looked confused. I could tell they were having a hard time choosing which costumes to pick as each section is goregous.

The band leaders also announced, they get to pick what position the band will  decend on the  Lakeshore, as they were last year champions. Congrats to the band leaders Dwayne Pitt, Bryce Aguiton and Marcus Eustace on a  great presentation.

Toronto Carnival Band Launch Season is Here!!!

Toronto Mas Bands theme launch for 2012 has officially started. Tribal Knights & Blues Carnival Fusion is the first bands to launch today. The Band launch season brings excitement and a competitive atmosphere in the Caribbean community. Each band will bring their creative design alive and then showcase their costumes to the public. Check out the list of upcoming band launch below and ensure you have your deposit ready for your band and costume of choice.

Time Machine- Trinidad Carnival 2012

Well folks, it's been just over a month since I returned from Trinidad Carnival 2012. I normally write a review for each party I attend, but I've been crazy busy. To tell you the truth, I had such a great time that I didn't take many pics to share with you all. I still have Carnival “Tabanca” because this year was one of my favorite years attending carnival. I wish I had a Time Machine to do it all over again. I told myself I was going to take a break, but I lied! Lol. I work hard all year round and Trinidad Carnival is my treat to myself. As they say, “Work Hard & Play Harder."

I won't be writing a detail review of my Trinidad trip however I will post a few video clips of the parties I attended. I like to attend at least one or two new parties each year. This year I attended Fallout (new), Lime, Beach House, Silent Morning Boat Ride (new), Scorch (new), Caesar’s Army J’ouvert and played mas with Yuma. I recommend all these fete's, they meet all my expectations and I had a fantastic time in each event.

Toronto Carnival, Crop Over and Miami Carnival is around the corner and some of the bands in Trinidad have already launched their 2013 Carnival theme and this month is Band Launch season in Toronto. Our next destination is Barbados - Crop Over. So enjoy the clips and if you are planning on going to Trinidad Carnival 2013, organize from now….Doh Stick!!!
